You may not always enjoy being in front of the camera. but we promise to make it a great experience. Our goal is to create a custom photoshoot experience for you that incorporates our professional expertise with your vision, and to have fun with it along the way. The proposal is the first step in that process. In your proposal, you will find the details we discussed earlier, along with some ways to customize your experience further.
Professional photography can be expensive and everyone has a camera in their hand nearly all day everyday, so how do you know when to invest in professional photography and when to DIY it? I am incredibly supportive of my clients using their phones to capture life's moments- in fact, I try to help them navigate the best ways to use their photos- but you need to know when it's time to hire a professional. The first is if you only have one shot at this (i.e. a wedding). The second is if the images will be treasured for years to come. And the third is if the photographs will be used out of context. In each of those cases it is time to trust someone with the experience to know the nuances of a still image and how to create an photograph that is visually striking and communicates the right message. Your photographer needs to understand the psychology of light, shadow and posing, while simultaneously helping you become comfortable in front of the camera.
